Walker & Wade
This colorful Indonesian-inspired Greenwich, CT, beachside home is owned by Laurette Kittle, owner of the wildly successful beach-to-table dress company Walker & Wade, known for its colorful ikat and batik prints. Laurette’s love of travel to exotic places –especially to Indonesia, was the inspiration behind this one-of-a-kind renovation.
Kellie Burke's creativity transformed this modest home into a harmonious blend of tranquility and exotic allure. The open-concept design combined traditional Balinese elements with modern influences.
Kellie combined various shades of turquoise (Laurette’s favorite color) with additional pops of color throughout the house. Custom carved inlaid teak doors and cabinetry, rattan furniture, Buddhas, shells, tribal wall coverings, and bold beaded light fixtures created a true oasis of relaxation, elegance, and entertainment.
