Featured Project: Puerto Vallarta Restaurant, Danbury, CT
What could be more fun than designing a contemporary Mexican restaurant? I worked with restauranteur Esaul Rodriguez to help create an exciting, inviting and memorable dining experience for his guests. The design blends classic Mexican folk art with large scale contemporary artwork and other modern touches. The result lends a festive and buzz-worthy atmosphere that augments Esaul’s delicious cuisine (and margaritas!).
When designing a personal home for clients, we work daily for months—if not years—on a project, only to have to step away after the final pillow is fluffed. I am so invested in my work—and my relationships with my clients—that it always feels a bit sad once the project is complete.
When designing a commercial space, I have the opportunity to return again and again to enjoy the space. The greatest part of the design of a commercial space like a restaurant is being able to go and sit and enjoy the atmosphere (and the drinks!) after the project is complete.
